THE STUDY OF SELF-LUBRICATING WEARRESISTANT MECHANISM IN INDIUM-CONTAINING ELECTRO-BRUSH ALLOY
He Anli, Tao Chuenhu, Guo Xiaodong, Zhong Bingwen
1989, 9(3): 1-8.
Abstract:
The self-lubricating wear-resistant mechanism in the AuNiIn9-3 alioy is studied. The result presents that it is very easy for the surface of the alloy to form In2O3 film with the structure of hexagonal close-packed crystal, which has laminal sliding mechanism similar to that of graphite during the wearing process. The In2O3 film becomes a kind of lubricant on the wearing surface and makes Au-9Ni-8In become an alloy with self-lubricating property. At the same time, the hard particals Ni3In seperated out from AuNiIn9-8 alloy during the wearing process which reduced plastic deformation and adhesive degree of the contro-friction materials at the contact point. It is also advantagcous to decrease the friction coefficient.
MICROSTRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF HOTROLLED SiCw/Al COMPOSITES
Jiao Chengge, Geng Lin, Yao Zongkai
1989, 9(3): 9-14.
Abstract:
The effects of hot-rolling deformation on microstructure and properties of SiCw/Al composites have been studied. It was suggested that as-extruded composite could be rolled without cracking in direction perpendicular to the extrasion. The rollability of the extruded composite could be improved.Cross-rolling must be conducted for as-fabricated ones. The effects of the hot-rolling on the strength and ductility, whisker aspect ratio(l/d)of the composites were discussed in detail. The way of the whisker rotation and orientation has been analysed under the two-rolling conditions.
AN OBSERVATION AND QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE STRETCHED ZONES IN 300M STEEL FRACTURE TOUGHNESS SPECIMENS
Zhao Yu, Zhao Zhenye
1989, 9(3): 15-21.
Abstract:
The stretched zones in 300M steel fracture toughness specimens were observed and measured. The forming processes of the stretched zones were discussed.Furthermore, the formula W=0.3KIC2/Eσy,which discribed the relationship between the average widths of the stretched zones and the fracture toughness KICwas put forward. The calculated values of W obtained from the formula above are in good agreement with the measured results.
ANALYSIS OF PEEL FAILURE OF BONDING ALUMINIUM HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE
Lai Shihong, Tang Falun, Zou Xianwu
1989, 9(3): 22-28.
Abstract:
In this paper, the relationship between the peel strength of adhesives and peel failure mode of their sandwich structure is investigated with a series of peel tests. The concept of bonding edge strength for the aluminium honeycomb is presented.Comparison between bonding edge strength is made and the reasons of different failure modes during peel test are described. The relationship between core cell tear failure and application of structures is also discussed.
A STUDY ON MEASUREMENT OF THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF SAND MOLD MATERIALS
Yan Yuanlin, Yang Gencang, Mao Zhiying
1989, 9(3): 29-36.
Abstract:
On the basis of pouring practice the conventional program solving thermal conductivities of sand mold materials was designed by using parameter optimization technique and the apparent thermal conductivities of some common sand mold materials were measured in this paper. The experimental results show that the apparent thermal conductivity of dry sand mold is a function of its density and temperature and the apparent thermal conductivities of moisture condensation zone in green mold, are about three or four times as great as those of the dry sand zone.A new method has been put forward to measure the apparent thermal conductivities of sand mold materials in this approach.
PHACOM TECHNIQUE FOR SUPERALLOY
Yao Deliang
1989, 9(3): 37-44.
Abstract:
Three methods of phase computation(PHACOM)generally used for superalloy are introduced in this paper,By means of these methods, more than forty nickel base superalloys widely used at home and abroad are computed by computer in order to predict forming tendency of TCP phase. The characteristic and accuracy of various PHACOM methods are analysed, compared and evaluated. The result of computation indicats that Md value method is the most accurate method of the three.
