EFFECT OF Si ON SOLIDIFICATION AND SEGREGATION IN Inconel 718 ALLOY
Sun Wenru, Guo Shouren, Lu Dezhong, Hu Zhuangqi
1996, 16(2): 7-11.
Abstract:
The effect ofsi on the solidificatlon and segregation In Inconel 718alloy was studied. It was foundthat SI can be not only segregated In Laves phase greatly, but also dissolved Into the matrix notlceablywith the rise of St addition. The solubility of Nb in Laves phaes Is lowered by SI. Therefore, SI signlflcantly Increases the preclpltatlon ofLaves phase and reduces the segregated area. It Is useless to excessivelydrop the SI content In order to ameliorate the solldlflcatlon mlcrostructure and to enhance the finishingsolidiflcatlon temperature.
THE INFLUENCE OF Nd-BERAING PARTICLES ON THE LOW CYCLE FATIGUE CRACKING BEHAVIORS IN A NEAR-α HIGH TEMPERATURE TITANIUM ALLOY
Zhu Zhishou, Ma Jimin, Gao Yang, Cao Chunxiao, Yan Minggao
1996, 16(2): 12-17.
Abstract:
The relationships between Nd-bearing particles and behaviors of low cyCle fatigue cracking in a near-Qtitanium alloy at ambient temperature and 600℃ are studied. The results show that, the fatigue cracks initiate in the matrix at a certain distance from the surface Nd-bearing particles, rather than on the debondinginterfaces of the particle/matrix or at the particles with pre-existing cracks. And cracking along the interface of the particle/matrix and/or around the particles gives rise to an enhanced tortuous cracking propagation path.
EFFECT OF Mo AND Nb PLATINGS ON DIAMOND DEPOSITION ON YG6 CEMENTED CARBIDE
Huo Xiao, Ren Jialie, Lu Anti
1996, 16(2): 18-24.
Abstract:
Effect of Mo and Nb platings on diamond nucleation and growth in YG6 cemented carbide substrate is investigated. The experimental results show that Mo plating in the thickness of 3000Å can promote diamond nucleation but Nb plating of the same thickness can not do it. However. these platings do not affect the morphology characteristics of diamond deposited on YG6 substrate.
EMBRITTLEMENT OF 16CO14Ni10Cr2MO STEEL AFTER LONG TIME TEMPERING AT 510℃
Pn Ruhou, Zhong Ping, Ling Wu, Gu Baozhu
1996, 16(2): 25-30.
Abstract:
Mechanical properties and microstructure of 16Co14Ni10CrZMo steel with tempering time have beenstudied by means of SEM.TEM and Auger spectrocopy. When tempering time greater than & hours,Theimpact tongness begins to decrease. It will decrease until 400 hours. Fracture feature of impact tongnessspecimen is intergranlar fracture after 50 hours. The longer time is. The higher fraction of intergranlurfracture is. It is due to impurity(P.S) segregation to austenite grain boundaries.
INFLUENCES OF STRUCTURES ON LOW CYCLE FATIGUE LIFE OF K418 ALLOY
Liu Faxin, Yuan Wenming, Tang Xin
1996, 16(2): 31-37.
Abstract:
The influences of different macro-structures (grain sizes) on the low cycle property of k418 alloy were studied. Further investigation were carried out on improving the distributed morphology of γ with different heat-treatment methods thus leading to an increase of low cycle fatigue property of K418 alloy.
EFFECT OF δ PHASE ON STRESS-RUPTURE PROPERTIES OF GH4169 ALLOY
Yang Yurong, Liang Xuefeng, Cai Bocheng, Huang Fuxiang
1996, 16(2): 38-43.
Abstract:
The effect of delta-phase on stress-rupture properties of Alloy GH4169 is studied in this paper. Theresult shows that both too high or too low amount of delta-phase in the alloy, is harmful to stress-ruptureproperties, and about 4.82% is the best amount which gives the alloy maximum stress-rupture life.
THE STUDY OF FRACTURE TOUGHNESS OF JOINT OF INERTIA FRICTION WELDING OF TITANIUM ALLOYS
Song Xiping, Shao Tanhua, Wang Shiyuan, Liu Xiaofang
1996, 16(2): 44-49.
Abstract:
In this paper, the fracture toughness of joint of titanium alloys by inertia frication welding has beenstudied and the microstructure of crack tip has been analysed. The results show that the fracture toughness of as-welded joint is lower. This is primcipally connected with its fine microstructure and the fracturetoughness of welded joint can be significantly improved by means of commercial annealing after welding.
NUMERICAL ANALYSIS FOR WELDING DEFORMATIONS DUE TO CIRCUMFERENTIAL WELDS IN CYINDRICAL SHELLS
Tian Xitang, Gu Fuming, Gao Jinqian
1996, 16(2): 50-56.
Abstract:
Welding deformations due to circumferential welds at the joint between the two cylindrical shells.the cylindrical shell and the flange are studied by numerical analysis, and computed values are compared to values obtained from the experiment. The results show that the effect of the circumferential weld between the two cylindrical shells on the inclination of the flange's plane is not obvious, but it induces the radial deformation. The changes of the radial deformation and the flange's planeness are induced by the circumferential weld at the joint between the cylindrical shell and the flange; The FEM analysises for the circumferential welds at the joint between the two cylindrical shells.the cylindrical shell and the flange are feasible.
STUDY ON DELAMINATION OF CFRP LAMINATES SUBJECTED BY DROP-WEIGHT IMPACT
Zhang Yanzhong, Ning Rongchang
1996, 16(2): 57-62.
Abstract:
The damage of delamination of CFRP laminates with the stacking sequence of [O2/902/452/-452]s,were investigated by drop-weight impact tests. The damaged images and relationship between impact energy and delamination area as well as the effect of matrix toughness on CFRP impact resistance were discussed in detail in this paper.
